WHAT MAKES AN NGSC STILL
The massive vapor cones allow excellent head space. 8-inch diameter access Custom Tri Clamp Cap alleviates the need for traditional flour paste. It is the largest TCC in the industry installed on hobby stills. The opening in the collar of the still is large enough to give easy access to your still pot for cleaning. The top of the collar is rolled over to give you a nice smooth edge, promote safety against cuts and add strength. Bodies have beads rolled into them, allowing for a robust, & beautiful still. A ½ inch NTP thermometer port is installed center mass of the still body, cap, and thumper. This allows you to get an accurate reading of your wash and vapor temperature with your thermometer installed. Bottoms are designed to hold the weight of your wash. With double thick bottom seams, our stills can support over double the weight you will load them with.
The worm condenser comes standard with water inlets and outlets to cycle cold water in the can, which allows your shine to cool down more efficiently. The worm coil is 1-1/8" OD copper tubing that is braced on the sides for added support. It is designed to be used with a hose, or a water pump. The top of the worm is rolled over to give you a nice smooth edge, promote safety against cuts and add strength.
The thumper’s inlet runs all the way to the bottom. It is then cut at a 45-degree angle, with flutes cut into it to maximize effectiveness. The outlet barely protrudes into the top of the thump keg, allowing the vapors to escape with ease, keeping pressure to a minimum. 8 Inch fruit port on top makes it easy to add fruit or other ingredients in the thumper to infuse flavors into your shine. 1/2 NTP thermometer port allows you to add your thermometer to accurately read the vapors in the thumper.
All tubing is deburred and chamfered to allow your fittings to connect without hassle.
The still and thumper have ball valve drain ports installed for easy drainage after your run.
Something often overlooked: the seams! We put thick, beautiful seams on all of our equipment. Our solder work is what you expect in a high quality still.
